Hi, I’m ARTZ, a fantasy writer, language enthusiast, and Belgian expat living in Japan. 

I write emotionally charged, character-driven stories set in magical worlds where reality blurs, secrets unravel, and nothing is ever quite as it seems. 

My current work, A Hidden Past & the Magical Universe, explores identity, grief, friendship, and the invisible forces that shape who we are.

Living in Japan has been both a challenge and a gift. 

As a teacher at an international preschool, I get to work with children from around the world—an experience that constantly reminds me of how powerful stories and imagination can be. 

When I’m not writing, I’m usually drawing, singing, dancing around the house, walking to clear my head, or enjoying some spicy food. I believe creativity comes in many forms, and I try to make space for all of them—whether it’s designing a magical creature or belting out a song in the middle of cooking dinner. Things I try to pass down, to my own children. 

The World of ARTZ is my personal and creative space—a blog where I share my journey as an indie author, expat life in Japan, behind-the-scenes glimpses of my stories, and the messy, beautiful process of chasing a dream across borders.
